Inclusion Criteria:
(1) Population: Adults with cancer (all sites and stages) who were classified as undernutrition or at risk of malnutrition by the definitions and their clinical condition, receiving active treatments or palliative care; (2)Interventions: dietary advice given by dietitians or nurse specialists. Dietary advice was defined as instructions to modify food intake given in order to improve nutritional intake; (3) Comparator: routine care with no dietary advice; (4) Outcomes: the primary outcomes were QoL and mortality. Secondary outcomes were body weight and energy intake; and (5) study design: RCTs with either a parallel or a crossover design.
