Inclusion Criteria:
Overweight Japanese men and women subjects aged 40-64 years (53.5±6.5 years) and with a body mass index (BMI) of 28.0-44.8 kg/m2 (30.6±3.0 kg/m2).
Exclusion Criteria:
Psychiatric conditions or physical conditions that would preclude full participation in the study (i.e., significant hepatic or renal dysfunction and cardiovascular diseases), current treatment for obesity and current treatments known to affect eating or weight (e.g., medications).
Research Purpose:
Evaluate the effect of SCOP program on weight loss and weight maintenance in Japanese male and female overweight/obese populations by means of a randomized controlled trial.
